World Service - The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry described the Zionist regime's terrorist operation in targeting Lebanese citizens through exploding communication systems as a mass killing.

Nasser Kan’ani, the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, said: "The terrorist operation in Lebanon is a continuation of the combined operations of the Zionist regime and its mercenary agents, and is contrary to all moral and human principles, international law, especially international humanitarian law, and is subject to international criminal prosecution, trial, and punishment."

According to Pars Today, Kan’ani added: "This combined terrorist operation, which is actually a form of mass killing, once again clearly proves that the Zionist regime, in addition to committing war crimes and genocide against the Palestinian people, has put regional and international peace and security at serious risk."

He emphasized: "Therefore, confronting terrorist actions of the regime and the threats arising from it is a clear necessity, and the international community must take immediate action to confront the impunity of Zionist criminal officials."

Meanwhile, Amir Saeed Iravani, Iran's ambassador and permanent representative to the United Nations, condemned Israel's cyber-terrorist operation in Lebanon, saying: "The Israeli regime must be held accountable for this aggression and heinous crime."

Media reported on Tuesday evening that several communication devices had exploded in several regions of Lebanon.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, 2,750 people were injured and 11 were martyred in this terrorist operation.
