Khalil al-Hayya: We will continue path of martyrs

Pars Today – The newly appointed head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) emphasized continuing the path of those killed in the conflict and the struggle against oppression.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Khalil al-Hayya, the new head of Hamas’ political bureau, said:

"My brothers in the Hamas movement have entrusted me with a great responsibility at this sensitive stage in the history of the Palestinian national cause."

Addressing the people of Gaza, al-Hayya stated: "We will continue the path of the martyrs and the struggle against oppression."

He added: "Defending the Palestinian cause is a responsibility that remains upon us as long as we live. Our first priority is the complete cessation of aggression and the full liberation of the Gaza Strip."

Al-Hayya said that Gaza is an integral part of Palestinian identity, adding:

"Our second priority is the release of prisoners and ending the suffering of the Palestinian people."

The Hamas political bureau chief also stressed efforts to rebuild the Gaza Strip, saying:

"We salute and express our gratitude to all those who have supported Palestine and stood with Gaza in confronting the war of genocide, especially our brothers in Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq, and Iran, who supported us and participated in this path with their blood and weapons."
