Pars Today – A senior spokesperson for Iran’s Armed Forces said that retaliation should not be viewed as a limited tactical operation, emphasizing that Iran’s objective is the removal of the United States from the region.
According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News, Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, senior spokesperson for Iran’s Armed Forces, said:
"Public opinion should not reduce the issue of revenge or retribution to a single tactical operation or something superficial. Our revenge is the expulsion of the United States from the region."
He added: "With the expulsion of the United States from West Asia, the Zionist regime will inevitably disappear from the scene."
Shekarchi further stated that the United States sought to establish control over the Strait of Hormuz and seize strategic islands in the Persian Gulf, including Khark Island, in order to exploit Iran’s resources, but said those plans had failed.
He also stated: "Despite all of the enemy’s intelligence-gathering capabilities, it still has no knowledge of some of our missile production facilities and remains confused."
The senior military spokesperson added that for nearly 20 years, a facility known as the "Data Center" had operated in the United Arab Emirates with the assistance of the United States, European countries, and Israel to monitor West Asia and parts of the wider world, but asserted that Iran had destroyed it.
Shekarchi also said that the United States had deployed weapons and military capabilities it had reserved for a global conflict, yet had suffered repeated defeats against Iran.
