Leader congratulates Iran's taekwondo teams on world championship win
Pars Today - The Leader of the Islamic Revolution congratulated the Iranian national taekwondo team for girls and boys on winning the championship title in the world junior championships.
After winning the first place in the world junior championships in South Korea, Ayatollah Khamenei expressed his satisfaction with this success and congratulated the athletes, the national team's technical staff and the officials of the Iranian Taekwondo Federation on this great achievement.
According to Pars Today, the 14th edition of the World Junior Taekwondo Championships started on Tuesday, October 1, with the participation of 936 taekwondo athletes from 96 countries in South Korea, and after 6 days of competition, the best ones were awarded on Sunday, October 6, with the championship of the Iranian national team in both girls and boys sections.
The Iranian team had previously won the world championship title twice in the boys' section and once in the girls' section. This is the first time that the Iranian team has become the world champion in both girls and boys groups at the same time.
