  • Iran among leading countries in hospital construction

Pars Today – The president of Iran’s Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences announced significant achievements in the construction, equipping, and renovation of hospitals in Iran.

Alireza Zali stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran is one of the world’s leading countries in hospital construction, and engineers in this field have advanced technical expertise.

According to Pars Today, Zali added that Iran has around 1,100 active hospitals, 70% of which are state-owned.

It is worth mentioning that, according to the Iranian Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism, citizens from Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Armenia, Tajikistan, and the southern Persian Gulf countries, including Oman and Bahrain, are among the most frequent visitors to Iran for medical tourism.
