  • Putin: We Support Iran’s Right to Peaceful Nuclear Energy

Pars Today – Russia's president has stated that his country supports the Islamic Republic of Iran's right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Russian President Vladimir Putin told Sky News Arabic: "Moscow supports Iran's right to peaceful nuclear energy and stands ready to provide necessary support to Iran in this area."

Referring to the ongoing nuclear negotiations, Putin emphasized: "There are certain details that can and must be agreed upon."

Regarding the conflict between Iran and the Zionist regime, Putin said: "Both sides should show flexibility; there are viable solutions to this issue."

The Russian president added: "Neither Moscow nor the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has any evidence proving that Iran seeks nuclear weapons. We have repeatedly informed Israel that there is no proof that Iran intends to acquire nuclear weapons."

He further noted: "Iran has repeatedly declared that it does not seek nuclear weapons, and the IAEA has found no evidence that Iran possesses or is pursuing nuclear arms."

According to Putin, "Moscow opposes the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction anywhere in the world. Iran has declared nuclear weapons religiously forbidden, and this position is very significant and should be taken seriously."

Putin also stressed the importance of dialogue for addressing regional concerns and ensuring collective security.

Earlier, on Friday, the Russian Foreign Ministry, in its initial statement responding to the Zionist regime’s attack on Iran, declared: "We strongly condemn Israel’s military actions, which represent a clear violation of the United Nations Charter and international law." The statement emphasized: "Unprovoked military attacks against a sovereign UN member state, its cities, citizens, and nuclear energy infrastructure are completely unacceptable."
