Iranian missiles target sites housing U.S. military personnel in Jordan

Pars Today — Al-Azraq and Prince Hassan air bases in Jordan, which host U.S. military personnel, were targeted by a large-scale barrage of Iranian missiles.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, Arab sources reported early Wednesday that powerful explosions were heard in Jordan.

Iraqi news outlet Naya reported in a breaking-news alert that explosions occurred at a U.S. base in Jordan following the impact of Iranian ballistic missiles.

According to reports, the Al-Azraq and Prince Hassan air bases were targeted in Iran’s retaliatory missile strikes.

The intensity of the multiple explosions at the two bases was so great that residents of the southern part of the occupied Palestinian territories in the Eilat area also heard the blasts.

Minutes before the explosions, media outlets had reported the launch of ballistic missiles from Iran in response to the recent U.S. attacks on Iranian oil tankers.

Local sources also released footage purportedly showing Iranian missiles with cluster warheads striking U.S. forces in Jordan’s Aqaba area, as well as the failure of air-defense systems.

Israel’s Channel 13 said that the large-scale Iranian missile attack was the biggest attack since the ceasefire. The New York Times also reported that U.S. troops suffered heavy casualties in Iran’s attack on Jordan.

A Jordanian source also said that a large number of wounded U.S. soldiers were being transferred to the Ramstein Hospital in Germany, with some suffering very serious injuries.

Arab sources also reported Iranian missile attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait.
