Message of the Leader of the Revolution on the occasion of the start of the Iranian Year 1404
Pars Today - The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, in a message on the occasion of the beginning of the Iranian year 1404, designated the new year as the "Year of Investment for Production."
Ayatollah Khamenei, noting the coincidence of the New Year with the Nights of Qadr and the days of the martyrdom of the first Shia Imam, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), expressed hope that the blessings of these sacred nights and the grace of the Commander of the Faithful would be bestowed upon the dear people of Iran and all those whose new year begins with Nowruz.
According to Pars Today, the Leader described the year 1403 as an eventful year, likening its successive incidents to those of 1360 (1981-1982) and marked by hardships and difficulties for the people. The Leader stated: "The martyrdom of several Iranian military advisors in Damascus, the martyrdom of Mr. Raeisi, the beloved President of the Iranian nation, followed by bitter events in Tehran and Lebanon, caused the Iranian nation and the Islamic Ummah to lose valuable elements in this year."
The Leader of the Revolution emphasized that in the face of challenges, a remarkable and extraordinary phenomenon emerged—the strength of will, spiritual resilience, unity, and high-level preparedness of the Iranian nation. The first manifestation of this was seen in their response to the loss of the president, as reflected in the slogans and high spirits of the people during that grand farewell, demonstrating that even such a heavy tragedy could not instill a sense of weakness in the nation.
The Leader described the swift holding of presidential elections within the legal timeframe and the resolution of the country’s managerial vacuum through the election of a president and the formation of a government as another manifestation of the Iranian people’s spiritual strength and capability. Highlighting another example of their moral and spiritual strength, the Leader stated that in response to the hardships faced by the people of Lebanon and Palestine, the Iranian nation, with great generosity, sent a massive wave of humanitarian aid to their brothers and sisters in Lebanon and Palestine.
Ayatollah Khamenei called the astonishing public contributions to the Resistance—particularly the generous donation of gold by Iranian women—an enduring and unforgettable event in the country’s history, stating: The strength of will, national determination, and the spiritual resilience and preparedness of the people are invaluable assets for the future and always will be for dear Iran, ensuring the continued divine blessings upon this country.
In another part of his Nowruz message, the Leader of the Revolution referred to the naming of the year 1403 as “Production Leap with Public Participation” and emphasized that achieving investment in production requires serious determination and motivation from both the government and the people. The Leader stated that the government’s role is to create the necessary conditions and remove obstacles to production, while the people’s role is to channel their small and large investments into productive sectors. In doing so, capital will no longer flow into harmful areas such as foreign currency and gold. In this regard, the Central Bank and the government play a crucial role.
With this preface, the Leader of the Revolution designated the slogan for the year 1404 as "Investment for Production" and expressed hope that, with government planning and public participation, progress would be made in improving livelihoods.
In the final part of his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei called the renewed aggression of the usurping Zionist regime against Gaza a "gravely heinous and catastrophic crime," stressing: "This is an issue for the entire Islamic Ummah; therefore, all members of the Ummah must set aside their differences and stand united against these crimes.
Likewise, all free people of the world, including those in Europe and America, must confront this treacherous and disastrous action and prevent the renewed killing of children, destruction of homes, and displacement of people."
The Leader emphasized that the United States shares responsibility for this tragedy and, according to political experts, this crime was carried out either at its direction or at least with its approval. The Leader added that the events in Yemen and the attacks on Yemeni civilians are another crime that must certainly be stopped.
Concluding his remarks, the Leader of the Revolution expressed wishes for goodness, righteousness, and victory for the Islamic Ummah, as well as the continuation of joy, satisfaction, success, and complete unity for the Iranian nation throughout the year.
The Leader expressed hope that the sacred heart of the Imam of the time, Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance) and the pure souls of Imam Khomeini (God bless his soul) and the martyrs would be pleased and satisfied with the people of Iran.
