End of 3rd round of indirect Iran-US negotiations / Araghchi: Negotiations were very serious
Pars Today- The third round of indirect talks between the Iranian and American delegations, hosted by Omani Sultanate, ended on Saturday according to the schedule.
The third round of indirect negotiations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America ended on Saturday afternoon. According to Pars Today, Iran's foreign minister said after the end of the talks, "This round of negotiations was conducted more seriously than before and we entered some of the technical issues. The expertise discussion was useful."
According to Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, both parties took part in the negotiations seriously which is a promise for progress, although the Iranian team's hopefulness is accompanied with caution.
Araghchi said in reaction to speculations, "Our issue is only nuclear and will not add any other issue. We negotiate the nuclear issue only for removal of sanctions. This has been observed in three rounds."
After the end of the third round of Iran-America indirect talks, Badr Al Busaidi, Omani Foreign Minister, announcing May 3 as the date of the fourth round of talks, wrote on X network on Saturday, "Today's talks between Iran and the US indicated a joint intention to reach an agreement based on mutual respect and sustainable commitments."
Noting that basic principles, objectives and technical concerns were addressed in this round of talks, he added, "The negotiations of next week have been planned to continue on May 3 within the framework of senior officials' meeting."
According to the announcement of the Iranian foreign ministry, the third round of talks contained expertise and technical discussions, too. Thus, the Iranian team was led by Majid Takht-e Ravanchi, the Political Deputy, and Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy for Legal and International Affairs of the Iranian Foreign Minister.
