Iran's Foreign Ministry statement on Zionist regime's military aggression

Pars Today- The Iranian foreign ministry issued a statement about the military aggression of the Zionist regime against the country.

According to Pars Today, the statement reads:

In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

Iranian noble nation,

Iranian compatriots,

Our dear country, Iran, has been unrightfully aggressed by a criminal and evil regime.

The occupying and rebellious Zionist regime, violating the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of dear Iran early today, attacked several residential areas in Tehran and some other cities of our country and plunged in blood a number of the noblest and most patriotic servants of the country in the arena of defense of the dignity and might of Iran, knowledge and technology alongside other innocent people.

The foreign ministry extends congratulations and condolences to the Leader and noble Iranian nation for the martyrdom of the defenders and servants of country who sacrificed themselves for our land during the unforgivable crime of the Zionist regime.

The attacks of Zionist regime on Iran is in violation of Article 2(4) of the United Nations Charter and blatant aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran. The response to this aggression is the legal and legitimate right of Iran according to Article 5 of the UN Charter and the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will not hesitate to defend the Iranian land with full power and in the method they recognize.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, as a founding member of the United Nations, whose raison d'être is to prevent aggression, violation of peace and threatening peace, emphasizes the UN Security Council's duty for immediate action to confront the violation of international peace and security because of blatant aggression of the Zionist regime against Iran and asks the president and members of this council to take measure as soon as possible.

The [Iranian] foreign ministry also reminds the UN secretary general's duty based on the UN Charter in this regard and calls for his immediate measure in this connection.

All UN members, especially the regional and Islamic countries, members of Non-Aligned Movement and all governments which are concerned about international peace and security, are expected to immediately condemn this criminal aggression and take rapid and collective measure to confront this dangerous adventurism which, undoubtedly, has exposed the global peace and security at an unprecedented threat.

The continuous consequences of the aggression of Zionist regime against our dear country, Iran, will be down on this regime and its supporters.

The aggressive measures of the Zionist regime against Iran could not be have taken without the American coordination and authority. Thus, the US government, as the main supporter of this regime, is also responsible for the dangerous consequences of the adventurism of Zionist regime.
