Araghchi: Iran to stay with Syrian people / Baqaei: Zionist regime biggest danger for regional peace, stability

Pars Today- The foreign minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in reaction to the recent Israeli aggression on Syria, stressed that the Islamic Republic will stand with the Syrian people forever.

The Zionist regime has launched broad attacks on various Syrian regions during the recent days with the pretext of defending Druze community. But, the attacks have escalated tensions in the country. According to Pars Today, quoting from Tasnim news agency, Iran's Foreign Minister, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, wrote on X social network, "Iran supports the Syrian sovereignty and territorial integrity and will always stand with the Syrian people."

Publishing a picture of the Israeli attack on Syria, Araghchi wrote, "Unfortunately, this was all too predictable. Which capital is next? The rabid Israeli regime knows no bounds and only grasps one language. The world, including the region, must unite to end its unhinged aggression."

Baqaei: We strongly condemn widespread attacks of Zionist regime on Syria

On the other hand, Iran's foreign ministry spokesman strongly condemned the widespread attacks of the fake Zionist regime against Syria. Esmail Baqaei, referring to escalation of airstrikes of the Zionist regime on Syria and hitting facilities, public and governmental centers alongside occupation of large parts of the country, said, "Today, it is clear to all that the Zionist regime is the greatest danger for the regional peace and stability and this regime, enjoying the arms and political support of the US and some of the Western countries, especially Germany, Britain and France, has threatened international peace and security in an unprecedented way."

Pointing to the developments of the past two years in West Asia, Baqaei added, "What is taking place in Syria is the result of excessive silence and inaction towards genocide, warmongering and domineering of the Zionist regime whose ills and effects have not been restricted to the beleaguered people of Syria and will affect the entire region."

The Iranian diplomat reminded the common responsibility of all regional countries in protection of peace and stability and called for an immediate and effective action by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the United Nations to stop the dangerous warmongering and expansionism of the occupying regime in the region.
