Iran condemns terrorist attack at Imam Ali Mosque in Syria

Pars Today – The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran condemned the terrorist attack on worshippers at the Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib Mosque in Homs Province, Syria, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of a number of worshippers.
Esmaeil Baqaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, on Friday night (December 26, 2025) reiterated the Islamic Republic’s principled stance in unequivocally condemning all forms of terrorism and violent extremism. He emphasized the responsibility of all parties whose illegal interventions—including violations of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and the occupation of parts of the country—have provided a fertile ground for the survival, growth, and spread of terrorism and extremism.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson also called for the identification and punishment of the perpetrators and masterminds of this heinous terrorist attack and highlighted the responsibility of the Syrian transitional government in this regard.
