Sunni scholars declared jihad against U.S.- Zionist terrorists

Pars Today – Sunni scholars of the Sistan and Baluchestan Province in southeastern Iran announced their support for the country’s armed forces in defending the dignity and security of the nation, emphasizing that jihad against the criminal Israeli regime and its arrogant backers is a great religious duty.

According to Pars Today, 660 Sunni clerics (Mowlavis) of the province issued a statement offering condolences and congratulations on the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Ummah, Ayatollah Khamenei.

The statement said that Ayatollah Khamenei, a devoted servant of God, the jurist-leader and wise guide of the Muslim community, after a lifetime of sincere struggle to elevate the word of truth, defend pure Islam, and support the oppressed of the world, attained the great blessing of martyrdom and joined the luminous caravan of the martyrs of the path of truth.

It further stressed that today the religious and historical duty of scholars, intellectuals, and all freedom-lovers around the world, especially Muslims, is not to remain silent in the face of this open aggression and great American–Zionist crime, because this attack is not only against a nation or territory but is an explicit assault on Islam, faith, and the identity of the Muslim Ummah.

The Sunni scholars of Baluchestan, while strongly condemning this horrific crime and painful loss, declared that with hearts filled with sorrow yet full of Islamic resolve and honor, jihad against the criminal Zionist regime and its arrogant supporters is a sacred duty.
