ParsToday - The President of Iran emphasized: The Islamic Republic of Iran will only target bases from which attacks on our soil originate.

According to ParsToday, citing IRNA, Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and "Shehbaz Sharif," the Prime Minister of Pakistan, exchanged views in a phone call regarding the latest regional developments and bilateral relations.

Pezeshkian said: Unfortunately, aggressors, by exploiting the airspace of neighboring countries, attacked infrastructural facilities, public places, hospitals, and schools. In one instance alone, 168 innocent students were martyred and injured in a barbaric attack on a school in Minab.

Emphasizing Iran's defensive strategy, he stated: The Islamic Republic of Iran has no intention of targeting or engaging in conflict with regional countries. It will only target bases from which attacks on our soil originate, within the framework of legitimate self-defense.

He also warned: If the international community and international organizations do not pay attention to the main perpetrators of this imposed war and military aggression against Iran, the prevailing circumstances of global order and security will become chaotic and unstable.

Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, in this phone call, reiterated his country's principled stance in condemning the aggression of the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran, and expressed the deep solidarity of the government and people of Pakistan with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Sharif concluded by expressing his interest in continuing joint efforts to advance and enhance the relations between the two neighboring and Muslim countries, as well as strengthening ties among Islamic countries in the region.
