Pezeshkian: We have no doubt in confronting aggressors

PardisToday – The President emphasized: The Iranian nation, government, and armed forces have never sought tension and conflict, but they have no doubt in confronting aggressors, as well as in the decisive and legitimate defense of their territorial integrity and national security, with public support and reliance on national capabilities.

According to Pars Today, citing the IRIB News Agency, Masoud Pezeshkian and Emmanuel Macron, the presidents of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the France, discussed the latest regional issues in a phone call.

Pezeshkian, in this conversation, elaborated on the dimensions of the illegal aggression and attacks by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran. He stated that the aggressors continue their attacks against various targets, including civilian centers, and referred to recent attacks against the two Iranian islands of Kharg and Abu Musa. He specified that these attacks were carried out using the territory of some Persian Gulf countries, and that providing territory and facilities for the United States to launch savage attacks against Iran is in conflict with international law and the principle of good neighborliness.

The President of Iran identified the actions of the Zionist regime and the United States as the root of insecurity and instability in the region. He said that the Iranian nation, government, and armed forces have never sought tension and conflict, but they have no doubt in confronting aggressors, as well as in the decisive and legitimate defense of their territorial integrity and national security, with public support and reliance on national capabilities.

Pezeshkian also identified the hostile actions of the Zionist regime, the commission of massacres in Gaza and Lebanon, and the initiation of two imposed wars with the participation of the United States against Iran as the root of insecurity and instability in the region. While criticizing the destructive approach of some European countries in supporting the crimes of this regime and the United States in the region, he called for their adherence to international law and the rule of law in the world.

Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, also emphasized the necessity of ending this war and reducing tension. He expressed concern about the escalation of the situation in the region, the current state of affairs in the Strait of Hormuz, and the conflict between Hezbollah of Lebanon and Israel.
