Iranian Army cruise missiles target USS Abraham Lincoln
Pars Today – The Public Relations Office of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced that coastal‑to‑sea cruise missiles were fired toward the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln, striking the vessel.
According to Pars Today, the Public Relations Office of the Iranian Army stated: The Army’s Ghadir coastal‑to‑sea cruise missiles targeted the Abraham Lincoln carrier group belonging to the hostile American fleet and forced it to change its position.
Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, Commander of the Iranian Navy—who personally issued the order to fire missiles at the USS Abraham Lincoln from the Navy’s operational command—honored the memory of the martyrs of the destroyer Dena and stated:
“The Navy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, with firm determination and the absolute maritime dominance of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the ever‑Persian Gulf, along with intelligent control of the Strait of Hormuz and powerful monitoring of the movement of military and hostile fleets north of the 10‑degree latitude, will not rest until we take revenge for the blood of our dear martyrs.”
Rear Admiral Irani added: “The actions and movements of the hostile Abraham Lincoln carrier group are constantly being monitored by the Navy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and as soon as the hostile group enters the range of our missile systems, it will be targeted by the Navy’s crushing attacks.”
