Pars Today - The Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army has said that the army, with open eyes and fingers on the trigger, is ready to counter any enemy aggression.

According to Pars Today, Major General Amir Hatami, Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army, wrote in a message on the occasion of Army Day: "Throughout the years following the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran has always been an embodiment of 'stern against the infidels, compassionate among themselves.' It has stood powerfully against the sworn enemies of Islamic Iran, while simultaneously making selfless and honorable efforts in the fields of relief and service provision."

The message added: "Undoubtedly, the proud and brilliant record of the army during the tumultuous ups and downs of the Islamic Revolution — its presence on land, air, and sea borders, the 8-year war, the 12-day war, and the third imposed war — is filled with the courage, loyalty, and high insight of an army that did not allow the malicious and ill-wishers to transgress the sanctity of this sacred land's honor, security, and independence."

Amir Hatami added: "Today, the army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, following the directives of the Leaders of the Revolution and obeying the orders of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Commander-in-Chief, and relying on indigenous capabilities, modern knowledge, and a jihadi spirit, while maintaining vigilance and combat readiness, considers itself a devoted defender of the security and peace of the Iranian nation, and remains faithful to the motto 'The Army is devoted to the nation' and 'The nation is the refuge of the Army.'"
