Algeria Para Powerlifting Open: Two gold medals for Iranian female athlete

Pars Today – Iran’s female national para powerlifting athlete won two gold medals in the youth category at the Algeria Open competitions.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, on the third day of the 2026 Algeria Para Powerlifting Open, Atiyeh Sadat Hosseini, Iran’s national athlete in the 61 kg category, stepped onto the platform and successfully lifted 93 kg in her first attempt.

In her second attempt, she lifted 98 kg overhead. Hosseini failed to lift 102 kg in her third attempt, but still secured the youth category gold medal. She also won the overall youth gold medal with a combined total of 191 kg.
