Pars Today — The virtual account of the Persian Gulf Strait Authority — the legal body and representative authority of the Islamic Republic of Iran for issuing permits and regulating maritime passage through the Strait of Hormuz — wrote to the United States: "You could not gain dominance over the Strait of Hormuz on the battlefield or through diplomacy, and you will not achieve it through sanctions either."
The Persian Gulf Strait Authority (PGSA) is the legal body and representative authority of the Islamic Republic of Iran for issuing permits and regulating maritime passage through the Strait of Hormuz. According to Pars Today citing IRIB News Agency, the virtual account of the Persian Gulf Strait Authority, in response to the US Treasury Department's sanctions on this body, condemned the move and wrote: "We consider being sanctioned by a country whose president takes pride in piracy as a sign of our positive performance."
The PGSA emphasized: "Despite the United States' provocative actions in the waters of the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, this authority continues without interruption to review and issue passage permits to non-hostile vessels in order to facilitate traffic, and soon statistics from the first month of the authority's operations will be released."
