Early cancer detection: Iranian company develops genetic laboratory device

Pars Today – Iranian knowledge-based engineers have developed a thermocycler (PCR) device, a key piece of equipment used in genetic and biotechnology laboratories, which can be applied in diagnosing genetic diseases, identifying pathogens, and enabling early detection of cancer.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News Agency, Maedeh Ashjaei said the domestically produced thermocycler is used in genetic and clinical laboratories for DNA amplification and disease diagnosis.

She added that the device is capable of identifying a wide range of diseases, even before birth, and therefore plays an important role in early diagnosis of illnesses, including various types of cancer.

The CEO noted that the device has already been installed and used in universities, research centers, and clinical laboratories across the country.

She further explained that the equipment can be used in genetic, biotechnology, biochemistry, and other specialized laboratories.
