Pezeshkian: Pakistan’s efforts will remain in memory of Iranian nation
Pars Today – In a phone conversation with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Iran’s President expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s sincere efforts and constructive role in advancing the mediation process and reaching an initial agreement.
According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News Agency, Masoud Pezeshkian and Pakistan’s Prime Minister discussed the latest developments related to the recent agreement and upcoming steps, as well as the state of bilateral relations and ways to expand joint cooperation in various fields.
During the conversation, Pezeshkian emphasized that Pakistan’s approach, based on goodwill, Islamic brotherhood, and regional responsibility, represented a valuable example of solidarity and cooperation between the Iranian and Pakistani nations.
He stated that the sincere and determined efforts of the Pakistani government and people during this sensitive period would remain in the historical memory of the Iranian nation, adding that the Islamic Republic of Iran would always appreciate this goodwill and support.
The Iranian president also expressed hope that the achieved agreement would pave the way for consolidating peace, reducing tensions, and beginning a new phase of regional cooperation aimed at serving the interests of the peoples of the region.
The Pakistani prime minister, in the phone conversation, praised the patience, resilience, and the rational and prudent approach of Iranian officials and the Iranian nation throughout the negotiation process. He stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan are not merely two neighboring countries, but two friendly and brotherly nations with deep historical, cultural, and religious ties.
He added that the Pakistani government had acted with sincerity, goodwill, and a sense of responsibility in the process of mediation and bringing the sides’ views closer together, and that it would continue to seriously pursue this approach in the next stages of negotiations and future talks.
Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the continued implementation of this agreement could bring valuable benefits for peace, stability, development, and prosperity in the region, while further paving the way for expanded economic and regional cooperation.
Referring to the broad potential for cooperation between Tehran and Islamabad, the Pakistani prime minister stressed his country’s interest in developing and deepening bilateral relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran in the fields of science and technology, industry, agriculture, trade, economy, and other areas of mutual interest.
