In view of the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and pursuant to instructions issued by the relevant authorities, applicants seeking passage through the Strait of Hormuz are hereby informed that, during the time period specified, vessels that submit transit requests in compliance with the required procedures will be permitted to pass.
The full statement reads as follows:

Email for tracking and follow-up of requests:

Important Notes:
- The above website and email address are the only official channels for processing transit requests.
- Valid and accessible communication channels for contacting the vessel must be provided in the submitted application.
- To avoid delays at the entrance to or exit from the Strait of Hormuz, transit requests containing all required information must be submitted at least 48 hours before the vessel reaches the Strait's designated area.
- During the 60-day period, no fees will be charged to vessels. The costs of security, safety, and environmental protection services, as well as the relevant Iranian insurance coverage, will be borne by the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
- Given the special circumstances and the presence of certain navigational and safety risks along the transit route, and in order to ensure safe and secure passage and prevent maritime incidents, coordination of the designated route and transit schedule for each vessel is required before it proceeds toward the Strait. Responsibility for any failure to comply with these requirements rests with the vessel's owner.
