Iran and South Africa discuss expanding energy cooperation

Pars Today – Iran's oil minister met with South Africa's minister of electricity and energy to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.
According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News Agency, Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad met on Thursday with Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, South Africa's Minister of Electricity and Energy, on the sidelines of the 11th BRICS Meeting of Energy Ministers. The two officials emphasized the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.
On Wednesday, Paknejad also met with Shri Manohar Lal, India's Minister of Power, Housing, and Urban Affairs, underscoring the need to strengthen economic and energy ties between Tehran and New Delhi.
The 11th Meeting of BRICS Energy Ministers is being held in Gurugram, India, on June 25–26.
