Pezeshkian: Recent agreement is achievement of Iranian nation's resistance

Pars Today – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, during a meeting with Grand Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani, one of Iran's senior religious authorities, emphasized the decisive role of the Iranian people's steadfastness in thwarting the enemy's strategies, describing the recent agreement and the progress resulting from it as achievements of Iran's national resistance.

According to IRIB News Agency, President Masoud Pezeshkian, continuing his visit to Qom in southern Tehran Province, met and held talks with Grand Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani, one of Iran's senior religious authorities.

Referring to the developments and events of recent months, Pezeshkian praised the Iranian people's resilience in the face of pressure and threats from the country's adversaries, saying:

"During the recent war, although our enemies martyred the esteemed Leader, ministers, military commanders, a number of our elites, and even school students, the Iranian people, the armed forces, and the government stood firmly together and defended the country, preventing them from achieving their objectives."

He added that the United States and the Zionist regime had employed all their capabilities to create instability in Iran.

"They believed that by exerting economic pressure and disrupting domestic conditions, Iran would collapse. However, the Iranian people, through their presence and support for the country, frustrated these calculations, and Almighty God also aided the Iranian nation," he said.

The Iranian president also referred to the government's preparations for dealing with extraordinary circumstances and potential pressures, saying:

"The enemies sought to disrupt Iran's development and production by targeting vital infrastructure, including factories, gas production resources and facilities, as well as the steel and petrochemical industries. They also attempted to create unemployment and worsen economic conditions by restricting Iran's oil exports. However, the determination of the Iranian people, together with God's will, ensured that the country's path toward progress and prosperity continued."

Pezeshkian described the recent agreement as a major achievement for the Iranian nation, stating:

"This agreement represents a significant victory for the people of Iran. Under its framework, sanctions on Iran's oil and petrochemical sectors have been lifted."

Grand Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani, for his part, said that the Iranian nation's resilience in the face of recent threats and acts of aggression was the result of divine assistance and God's blessings, emphasizing that:

"This divine support will continue."

The senior religious authority also referred to the enemies' assessment of Iran's ability to resist, saying:

"They believed they would bring Iran to its knees within a matter of days. Yet today, Iran remains standing with strength and authority. This steadfastness is a manifestation of divine assistance at a level that goes beyond our ordinary understanding."
