Pars Today – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced in a statement that it had carried out an initial response to the U.S. aggression by targeting 85 key U.S. military facilities.
According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News, the full statement issued by the Public Relations Office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reads as follows:
"In the Name of God, the Destroyer of the Tyrants"
Following the Iranian nation's unprecedented, magnificent, and enemy-defying funeral procession for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Ummah, the aggressive U.S. regime—which is facing an increasingly evident defeat and views the global attention surrounding the massive, million-strong turnout of the proud Iraqi people in the historic farewell to the martyred Leader as an even greater setback—once again repeated its habitual breach of commitments. In a state of panic and in an attempt to overshadow this historic event, the child-killing and terrorist U.S. military launched airstrikes in the early hours of Wednesday against a number of coastal bases and civilian stations along the coasts of Hormozgan Province and Mahshahr (southern Iran), openly violating the ceasefire and breaching the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
In an initial response, the naval and aerospace forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps carried out a joint missile and drone operation targeting 85 key U.S. military facilities, including Salman Port, the U.S. Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain, and Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, during which, an MQ-9 Reaper drone attempting to interfere with the operation was shot down.
"Victory comes only from Allah, the Almighty, the All-Wise."
