Araghchi: Iran will stand firm against any U.S. adventurism
Pars Today – In a phone conversation with Pakistan’s army chief, Iran’s Foreign Minister warned against any U.S. military adventurism and emphasized the firm determination of the Iranian people and the country’s armed forces to defend Iran’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national security.
According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, held a phone conversation on Thursday afternoon with Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, discussing the latest regional developments.
During the call, Araghchi strongly condemned U.S. military attacks on various parts of Iran, calling them a clear violation of the UN Charter and an explicit breach of the provisions of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (ending the war).
He said that statements and acknowledgments by U.S. officials regarding non-compliance with the memorandum were clear signs, in his view, of a breach of commitments and the continuation of Washington’s war-oriented policies.
Araghchi also warned against any U.S. military adventurism, stressing the firm resolve of the Iranian people and the Islamic Republic’s armed forces to defend the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national security.
