Pars Today – Iran’s Parliament Speaker stressed that the country’s top priority today is to become stronger, saying that this issue is being felt more than ever before.
According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, emphasized the need to focus on the goal of a “Strong Iran,” saying: “Today, the first and foremost issue is truly strengthening Iran, and we feel this more than at any other time.”
He added that looking back over the past four or five years, particularly since the martyrdom of General Qassem Soleimani, shows that Iran’s martyred Leader and officials have consistently emphasized the importance of a “Strong Iran.”
Qalibaf continued: “In the second phase of the Islamic Revolution, under the leadership of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, we must focus on strengthening Iran. One of the conditions for this strength is unity around the principle of Velayat (Islamic leadership). We officials must first and foremost create greater authority and capacity for the principle of Velayat-e Faqih.”
He added: “If we want a strong Iran, we must begin from here — so that every Iranian becomes stronger, Iranian families become stronger, our nation becomes stronger, and ultimately the Islamic Revolution and our beloved Iran become stronger.”
“We must consolidate our victory in the war”
Referring to the recent war, Qalibaf said: “Victory in the war must be consolidated. This certainly requires the country to have hope for the future, a clear vision ahead, and unity and cohesion that must be formed and preserved.”
He described the military, diplomatic, public service, and street arenas as complementary fields, adding that these four areas must operate together in a balanced manner.
