Pars Today – In a message congratulating Pakistan on the 79th anniversary of its independence, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian wrote that the shared interests and destinies of the Iranian and Pakistani nations are increasingly intertwined, making closer cooperation and greater synergy more essential than ever.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, in his congratulatory message to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the anniversary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan’s independence, Pezeshkian described the occasion as a valuable opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the great Pakistani nation and as a new milestone in deepening and expanding the longstanding and strategic relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The Iranian president stressed: “Undoubtedly, the deep historical, cultural, civilizational, and people-to-people ties between the two nations constitute a valuable asset for charting brighter prospects for bilateral relations.”

Emphasizing that the shared interests and destinies of the Iranian and Pakistani nations are increasingly intertwined, and that this reality makes closer cooperation and greater synergy between Tehran and Islamabad all the more necessary, Pezeshkian added: “The Islamic Republic of Iran reaffirms its determination to further strengthen comprehensive relations with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and stands ready, based on mutual trust and respect and by leveraging the extensive existing potential, to take more effective steps toward consolidating relations between the two countries and advancing the shared interests of their two nations.”
