Iranian student team wins four awards at international Olympiad in informatics

Pars Today – Iran’s national informatics olympiad team showcased the capabilities of Iranian students in international scientific competitions once again by winning two silver medals, one bronze medal, and one honorable mention at the 38th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2026) in Tashkent.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, the 38th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2026) was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from August 9 to 16, 2026.

The prestigious international competition brought together top young computer science talents from more than 97 countries, with 386 students registered to participate.

Iran’s national informatics olympiad team also took part in the competition with four students and secured two silver medals, one bronze medal, and one honorable mention, marking another achievement for Iran in international scientific competitions.
