Oman meeting postponed

Pars Today- The Director General of the Persian Gulf Department at Iran’s Foreign Ministry said the postponement of the Strait of Hormuz meeting was made at the request of some regional countries and following a joint decision by Tehran and Muscat.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, Mohammad Ali Bek, Director General of the Persian Gulf Department at Iran’s Foreign Ministry, said on Sunday that at the request of some regional countries and following a joint decision by Oman and Iran, the meeting of foreign ministers of the Persian Gulf littoral states, which had been scheduled for Monday, was postponed to a later date.

He added that the Islamic Republic of Iran, in close consultations with Oman, would make the necessary arrangements regarding a suitable time to hold the meeting.

Oman’s Foreign Minister also announced in an official statement that the regional meeting, which was scheduled to be held in the country on Monday to discuss the Strait of Hormuz, had been rescheduled.

Badr al-Busaidi said the regional meeting was scheduled to take place tomorrow in Salalah, Oman, but was postponed to ensure that a consensus could be reached.
