Pars Today – Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said the enemy sought to awaken fear through fire, but the Iranian people, through their presence, demonstrated the fire of honor and dignity born of resistance.

According to Pars Today, citing ISNA, Qalibaf issued a message on Tuesday, on the eve of the 200th night of the Iranian people’s presence in the streets, emphasizing that the mighty tree of Iran’s defensive power, which stands firm on the battlefield, is rooted in the faith and determination of the people who have risen up and have now filled the streets of their beloved homeland for 200 nights.

The full text of Qalibaf’s message is as follows:

“Noble and heroic people of Iran,

Two hundred days have passed since the beginning of the Third Imposed War. Throughout this period, through your responsible and informed presence on the scene, you demonstrated that the foundation of the Islamic Republic’s strength is, above all, the Iranian people.

The enemy believed that it could break our resolve through military aggression. But today, on the 200th night of the people’s enthusiastic presence in the streets, it has become clear that it was the aggressor’s illusion that was defeated, not the resolve of the Iranian people.”

There are no words more fitting than expressing respect and gratitude before this steadfast mountain. The mighty tree of Iran’s defensive power, standing firm on the battlefield, is rooted in the faith and determination of you, the people who have risen up and have now filled the streets of our beloved homeland for 200 nights.

What is being pursued on the diplomatic front, based on dignity and national interests, is also encouraged by the support of this very presence. It is this continuous and enthusiastic presence of the people that has thwarted efforts to sow division and weaken our beloved Iran.

You, the proud people of Iran, disrupted the enemy’s calculations by refusing to abandon the streets amid the fire of war and the enemy’s security and economic pressures. The enemy sought to awaken fear through fire, but through your presence, you displayed the fire of honor and dignity born of resistance, demonstrating that pressures and differences of opinion can never undermine the deep bond between the 90 million Iranians and their beloved Iran and national interests.

The record of the Islamic Revolution, the Sacred Defense and the experience of recent wars attest to one reality: whenever the enemy has failed against Iran, the main reason has been the resistance of the Iranian people—a resistance that, for 200 nights now, has found meaning through its connection between the military battlefield and the battlefield of the streets.

For Iran’s officials, the greatest reward these days is the “opportunity to serve”—an opportunity that must be answered with honesty, dedication and tireless work. We bow our heads in respect before the Iranian nation and sincerely thank you for your patience and magnanimity. History will remember the name of this nation alongside the greatest days of Iran’s resistance.
