    Iran, Turkey interior ministers discuss activating two new border crossings

Pars Today – Iran’s interior minister, during a visit to Ankara, met with his Turkish counterpart to discuss the activation of two new border crossings between the two countries.

According to Pars Today, citing ISNA, Iran’s Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni met and held talks with Turkish Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi in Ankara on Wednesday.

The activation of two new border crossings between Iran and Turkey, increasing rail transportation capacity, border security issues, the extradition of criminals, expanding trade exchanges, and facilitating the transportation of cargo from Turkish ports to Iran were among the main issues discussed at the meeting.

Iran’s interior minister said upon arriving in Turkey on Tuesday afternoon: “We have had an agreement with the Turkish Interior Ministry for some time. Last year’s meeting was held in Tehran, and this year’s meeting is being held in Ankara.”
