Taeb: Devotees of Iran symbolize Iranian republicanism and people’s resilience against threats

Pars Today – The head of Iran’s Basij Organization has described the “Devotees of Iran” as a nightmare for the enemies of the country, stressing that they symbolize the Iranian people’s republicanism and resilience in the face of threats against the country and its territory.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Hojatoleslam Hossein Taeb, head of Iran’s Basij Organization, made the remarks at the large-scale 313,000-strong “Devotees of Iran” military exercise, which began in Tehran on Friday, September 18, 2026.

Taeb said the “Devotees of Iran” campaign is the largest popular campaign in the history of the world’s wars. “The resistance of the Iranian people is the compass guiding the decisions and actions of officials, as well as a source of fear for the enemy and a factor in the nation’s victory,” he said.

Taeb stressed: “The devotees are now a nightmare for the enemies of this country. They symbolize the national resistance battalions and the progress of this country. The devotee symbolizes the republicanism of Iran and the Iranian people’s resilience in the face of threats against this land and territory.”

He added that the “Devotees of Iran” campaign symbolizes the popularization of defense and security, embodies national power, demonstrates Iran’s readiness to fight and defend itself against any threat, and reflects the country’s readiness to build the nation and reach the peaks of civilizational advancement.

The head of Iran’s Basij Organization said: “Today, we are witnessing the participation of hundreds of thousands of people in this campaign in Tehran. We are carrying out the process of integrating the devotees into defense battalions and units, completing their basic training, organizing them, conducting advanced training courses in various ground, air and naval branches, and preparing them for comprehensive defense.”

Taeb described the “Devotees of Iran” as a symbol of the popularization of defense and security, saying: “The devotee will embody national power and Iran’s readiness to fight and defend itself against any threat, as well as its readiness to build the country and reach the peaks of civilizational advancement.”
