Araghchi to French counterpart: Stop your crocodile tears

Pars Today – In response to recent claims by the French foreign minister, Iran’s foreign minister, referring to Paris’s silence over the killing of Iranian schoolchildren by the United States, told his French counterpart: “Stop your crocodile tears, Mr. Barrot.”

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi wrote in a post on X on Saturday, September 19, in response to recent human rights claims by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot: “One and a half million Algerians were slaughtered by France in their War of Independence. Less than 1/10 of them have been recorded by Paris, which refuses any apology for its colonial crimes.”

Addressing his French counterpart, Iran’s foreign minister wrote: “Stop your crocodile tears, Mr. Barrot. Your silence when the U.S. massacred our schoolkids said it all.”

The French foreign minister had made interventionist allegations, accusing Iran of violating human rights.
