Pars Today – The art of Iranian cooking and the flavors of the country’s traditional dishes have received an enthusiastic response from visitors and officials at the FAO’s global “From Seeds to Foods” exhibition in Rome.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, on the fourth day of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) World Exhibition, held on Sunday at the historic Circus Maximus in Rome, a special program introducing Iranian traditional cuisine and demonstrating how to prepare it was held with the participation of Iranian chefs. More than 100 attendees had the opportunity to taste authentic Iranian dishes.

The program, which was part of a special section introducing the food cultures of different nations, featured Iranian chefs preparing popular dishes such as chelow kebab and tahchin. As they demonstrated the cooking process, the chefs explained the ingredients, preparation methods and place of these dishes in Iran’s culinary culture.

A live performance of Iranian music alongside the cooking demonstration also added a cultural dimension to the event, showcasing aspects of Iran’s art, traditions and culinary heritage to visitors.

At the “From Seeds to Foods” exhibition in Rome, the Islamic Republic of Iran also presented some of its leading agricultural products, including saffron, pistachios and dates, at a pavilion in the Asia-Pacific section, alongside its presentation of Iranian food culture.

Iran’s participation was aimed at highlighting the country’s production capabilities and the diversity of its agricultural products, as well as familiarizing visitors with the production and processing chain of Iranian food products.
