Chain of recent bombings show terrorists desperation: Iran

Iran says the chain of terror explosions in different countries over the past few days shows the terrorist groups’ desperation and dismay.

According to Press TV, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi on Monday condemned a bombing attack in the Somali capital of Mogadishu and expressed his sympathy with the bereaved families of the victims.

He once again reaffirmed the importance of bolstering unity and cooperation among all countries to fight terrorism in a genuine and comprehensive way until the complete elimination of the vicious phenomenon.

At least 29 people were killed and over 48 wounded after explosives on a vehicle were detonated by its driver at Mogadishu’s busy seaport on Sunday.

The al-Shabab terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack. It carried out a bombing attack near Mogadishu on Saturday, killing two people.

The al-Qaeda-linked terrorist group has been conducting terrorist operations in the impoverished African country since 2006.
