In light of the recent victories against Takfiri terrorism in the Middle East, the Islamic world should boost unity, heal divisions and smash extremism for a bright future, Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said.

According to Tasnim News Agency, in a messages on Tuesday, Larijani congratulated his counterparts in Islamic countries and a number of Muslim figures in different states on the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA), the last messenger of God.

Expressing the hope for close “rapport and fraternity” within the Islamic Ummah (community), Larijani called on Muslim nations to take advantage of the recent success to defeat Takfiri terrorists in Syria and Iraq to promote unity, settle disagreements and counter extremism.

He also hoped for stronger cooperation among Muslim countries and expansion of parliamentary relations.
