Full trust in government of consensus; Iranian parliament's message to new government
Pars Today- Members of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament), after 5 days of discussion and examining the qualification and programs of the proposed ministers of the 14th cabinet, gave vote of confidence to all 19 ministers proposed by President Masoud Pezeshkian.
Iran's MPs on Wednesday approved all of the proposed ministers of President Pezeshkian to show their solidarity and accord with the government of national consensus. According to Pars Today, based on the announcement of Speaker, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, 288 parliamentarians cast their votes in the public session of the Majlis (parliament), which after counting the votes, all members of the proposed cabinet garnered the confidence of the lawmakers.
Below are the details of the Iranian lawmakers' votes to the proposed ministers:
1. Alireza Kazemi, proposed minister of education, with 268 positive votes
2. Sattar Hashemi, proposed minister of communication and information technology, with 264 positive votes
3. Seyyed Esmail Khatib, proposed minister of intelligence, with 261 positive votes
4. Abdul Nasser Hemmati, proposed minister of economy and financial affairs, with 192 positive votes
5. Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, proposed minister of foreign affairs, with 247 positive votes
6. Mohammad Reza Zafarqandi, proposed minister of health and medical education, with 163 positive votes
7. Ahmad Midari, proposed minister of cooperatives, labor and welfare, with 191 positive votes
8. Gholamreza Nouri Qezeljeh, proposed minister of agriculture jihad, with 263 positive votes
9. Amin Hossein Rahimi, proposed minister of justice, with 268 positive votes
10. Aziz Nasirzadeh, proposed minister of defense and logistics of armed forces, with 281 positive votes
11. Farzaneh Sadeq Malvajerd, proposed minister of road and urban development, with 253 positive votes
12. Seyyed Mohammad Atabak, proposed minister of industry, mining and trade, with 231 positive votes
13. Hossein Simaee Sarraf, proposed minister of science, research and technology, with 221 positive votes
14. Seyyed Abbas Salehi, proposed minister of culture and Islamic guidance, with 272 positive votes
15. Eskandar Momeni, proposed minister of interior, with 259 positive votes
16. Seyyed Reza Salehi Amiri, proposed minister of cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts, with 168 positive votes
17. Mohsen Paknejad, proposed oil minister, with 222 positive votes
18. Abbas Aliabadi, proposed minister of energy, with 255 positive votes
19. Ahmad Donyamali, proposed minister of sports and youth, with 253 positive votes.
Masoud Pezeshkian was elected as the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the runoff of the 14th presidential election in Iran on June 5, 2024.
