Pars Today- Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says the Israeli regime’s savage attacks in the Gaza Strip and the resistance of the people of Palestine are clear signs showing the way forward.

Imam Khamenei, addressing the officials and personnel of Hajj Organization and a number of pilgrims of God's [symbolic] House this morning, considered remembrance of God and "unity and relation with Muslims" as the two very important spiritual and social elements of Hajj pilgrimage, and referring to the great event of Gaza and the crimes of the blood-thirsty Zionist regime, said, "This year's Hajj, in the light of the verses of the holy Qur'an and the blessed memory and name of Prophet Abraham (PBUH), beyond every year, should be the Hajj of disavowal of this criminal enemy of Muslims and its supporters."

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution calling Hajj as a multidimensional obligation in the material and spiritual aspects, added, "Regarding the internal and inward dimension, the remembrance of the Lord as the real source of life, resolve, willpower and personal, social and national decision-makings is the outstanding point of all phases and stops of Hajj."

The Leader, in continuation, stressed to the pilgrims, "In Hajj, pay attention to the cases which do not exist anywhere else such as the Ka'ba, Masjid-ul-Haram (Sacred Mosque), Circumambulation, Pilgrimage of the Noble Prophet rather than touring the bazaar and the goods which are there everywhere."

Imam Khamenei described unity and relation of Muslims with each other as the outstanding point of Hajj and stated, "The philosophy of the divine invitation of all people to be present in a specified place and during specified days, familiarity of Muslims with one another and joint likeminded thinking and decision-making is to grant the blessed and concrete results of Hajj to the Islamic world and the entire mankind; while today the Islamic world suffers from a great vacuum in the field of joint decision-making."

He said that ignoring nationality, sectarian and ethnic differences is the necessary prelude for unity and added, "The huge, monolithic and uniform gathering of the followers of all Islamic sects and denominations from all nationalities is the obvious sign of the political-social aspect of Hajj."

The Leader reiterated, "Of course, the necessity of passing through differences and discord-causing issues is not excluded to Hajj and in numerous verses of the Qur'an unity and solidarity of Muslims have been emphasized."

Imam Khamenei, stating that Hajj pilgrimage should be full of the blessed name of Prophet Abraham and the teachings of that great Prophet, described disavowal of the enemies of God as a precious Abrahamic instruction and said, "Since the beginning of the Revolution, disavowal has been a ubiquitous basis in Hajj, but this year, and with regards to the great and weird event of Gaza which has exposed more than ever the bloodthirsty image of a group arising from the Western civilization, the Hajj is the Hajj of disavowal in a special way."

Ayatollah Khamenei considered the current events of Gaza as an everlasting index for history and said, "The savage attacks of the rabid Zionist dog on the one hand, and the resistance and innocence of the people of Gaza on the other hand, will remain in history, and will show the path to mankind whose astounding and unprecedented reflection in the non-Muslim communities and the universities of the US and some other countries is among the sings of this history-building and index-making."

Making clear the duties of the Islamic Ummah vis-à-vis the disasters in Gaza during the Abrahamic Hajj, the Leader referred to some Qur'anic examples from the practice of Prophet Abraham and added, "Abraham (PBUH) is among the prophets with a kind and very affectionate heart, but this very messenger, in the face of oppressive and aggressive enemies, strongly expresses disavowal and announces enmity."

Pointing to the verses of the Qur'an which completely negate friendship with the oppressive enemies, Imam Khamenei called the Zionist regime as the full example of enmity with Muslims and the US as the accomplice of this regime, adding, "Had there not been the US, would the Zionist regime have had the power and boldness for this savage behavior towards the Muslim people, women and children?"

 The Leader of the Islamic Revolution made it clear, "The perpetrator of murdering of Muslims and making them homeless and its supporter are both oppressors, and according to the clear statement of the Qur'an, if a person makes friend with them, he is also an oppressor and cursed by God."

He said that regarding the present conditions of the Islamic world, Abrahamic approach to Hajj, i.e. explicit disavowal against the enemies, is more necessary than ever, and added, "Accordingly, the Iranian and non-Iranian Hajj pilgrims should be able to convey the Qur'anic logic of support for the Palestinian nation to the entire Islamic world."

Imam Khamenei then went on to say, "Of course, the Islamic Republic has not waited and will not wait for others, but if the powerful hands of nations and governments come for help and accompanying, the pitiable state of the Palestinian nation will not continue."

In the end of his speech, the Leader thanking the services and activities of the Be'theh (The Leader's Hajj Mission), the Hajj Organization and other serving establishments for holding Hajj, told them, "Make plans for welfare of the Iranian pilgrims and the accomplishment of the good and divinely accepted Hajj in a way that the distance between the status quo and the ideal state is removed."
