UK parliament denounces Israeli crimes in West Bank
Pars Today – Members of the UK Parliament, in a heated session on West Asia developments, described Israeli crimes in the West Bank as “blatant violations of international law” and “war crimes,” calling for immediate recognition of an independent Palestinian state.
The session was convened at the initiative of MP Martin Rhodes, representing Glasgow North. Many lawmakers, citing data from international organizations, described Israel’s settlement policies, home demolitions, and systematic expulsions of Palestinians as part of a deliberate strategy to destroy any hope for a Palestinian state.
Rhodes stressed: “While global attention is focused on Gaza and tensions with Iran, we must not ignore the growing oppression in the West Bank.”
