Israeli forces martyr three Palestinians in occupied West Bank
Israeli forces have martyred three Palestinians in an ambush after firing at their vehicle near the occupied West Bank city of Jenin.
Citing local sources, the Palestinian Information Centre (Palinfo) said the regime forces fired heavily at the vehicle near the village of Arraba south of Jenin on Sunday, preventing citizens and ambulances from approaching the scene.
Israeli forces fired more than 100 bullets at the vehicle and confiscated the Palestinian dead bodies and the car following the attack.
Israel claimed that the three Palestinians were “armed” and aimed to attack the regime’s forces.
The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas condemned the assassinations, saying the deaths would not go unpunished.
"The Zionist enemy is committing a new crime by assassinating three of our Palestinian people in Jenin, in an escalation of its aggression and continued terror against our people," said Hazem Qassem, the spokesperson of Hamas.
“The enemy, which assassinated three of our Palestinian people, will not escape paying the price of its crimes,” Qassem added.
The Hamas official stressed that the latest escalation by the Zionist regime calls for “serious work” to formulate a practical national plan to confront the occupation.
The latest development came two days after a Palestinian youth, identified as 19-year-old Qosai Jammal Mi'tan, was shot and martyred by occupation forces in a village near the city of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.
