Araghchi and EU Foreign Policy Chief hold phone talks

Pars Today – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Kaja Kallas, the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, held a telephone conversation to discuss the latest regional and international developments.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Iran's foreign minister strongly condemned a military attack by Ukraine on an Iranian commercial vessel in the Caspian Sea. He called for a firm response from the United Nations Security Council, the European Union, and the broader international community, urging them to hold those responsible for the attack, as well as their supporters, accountable.

The two sides also discussed developments in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz following the Iranian Armed Forces' response to the U.S. aggression. They emphasized the need for diplomatic initiatives to help manage regional tensions.
