The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement says the United States, Britain and Israel are seeking to liquidate the Palestinian cause, emphasizing that the Yemeni military’s retaliatory strikes in the Red Sea have proven to be “effective and a game changer.”

Delivering a televised speech on Tuesday evening on the anniversary of the 2018 assassination of Saleh al-Sammad, former head of Yemen's Ansarullah Supreme Political Council, Abul-Malik Houthi underscored that the Red Sea and the strategic Bab el-Mandeb, which acts as a link between the Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, are of paramount significance to Washington, London and the Tel Aviv regime.

“The enemies want a puppet regime to be in office in Sana’a, as it would protect US and Israeli merchant vessels and secure their safe passage while the genocide against Palestinians in Gaza goes on.

“For such a ... vassal state, safety of American and British facilities and protection of Israeli ships would be the first and foremost priority,” Houthi noted.

The Ansarullah chief pointed out that Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has already acknowledged to the fact that a liberation-oriented Yemeni administration, which is supportive of the Palestinian people, will pose serious threats to the occupying regime.

Houthi went on to noted that enemies are deeply concerned about the retaliatory strikes of Yemeni forces, which are being staged in compliance with the national interests and those of the Muslim Ummah, especially the Palestinian nation.

“Such concerns are multiplied when it comes to the geographical location of Yemen and its strategic importance to the international shipping, as the country lies on a main body of water that links the world,” he said.

“They (enemies) are discontented with the mobilization and awareness of our people, and their aspirations to assert their legitimate rights,” he underlined.

The Ansarullah leader also said Yemeni Armed Forces have achieved a historic victory by preventing Israeli-affiliated vessels from passing through the Red Sea, despite bouts of airstrikes being carried out by the US-British coalition against the Arab nation.

Houthi underlined that Ansarullah remains staunchly committed to its pro-Palestine stance, and that the Yemeni military will expand its anti-Israel naval operations in solidarity with the Palestinian population in Gaza.

The Yemeni Armed Forces' naval campaign in the Red Sea has proven to be “effective and a game changer,” he said.

“The root cause of global terrorism is Zionism and its tentacles of Israel, the US and Britain,” Houthi also underlined.

The Ansarullah chief finally reassured all international shipping companies that their ships can safely and securely sail through the Red Sea as long as they are not linked to Israel, emphasizing that Yemeni forces have no intention whatsoever to cut the Red Sea’s undersea internet cables.
