A dozen people have been killed in a rocket attack by foreign-backed Takfiri terrorists on a residential neighborhood in the northwestern Syrian city of Aleppo.

Syria’s state television said the attack targeted Salaheddin neighborhood of Aleppo on Wednesday, adding that the victims included a child.

The so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights put the death toll at 10.

Earlier on Wednesday, an unnamed security source had said that at least seven civilians, including two women and a child, lost their lives in a rocket attack by militants on the same neighborhood.

On Tuesday, terrorists struck Salaheddin, killing eight civilians and injuring 12.

Aleppo has been divided between government forces and terrorists since 2012. Syrian forces have been engaged in a major operation to liberate the militant-held parts of the city as well as the province with the same name.
