Gate of victory opened to Palestinian resistance
Pars Today- The ceasefire agreement between the Zionist regime and Hamas movement showed that the Palestinian resistance is able to bring the enemy to its knees despite being in totally unequal conditions with minimal weapons while military balance is not in its favor.
Political expert, Saadollah Zarei, wrote in a column, "It is Hamas which determines which captive should be freed at what time…. The balance of war with Hamas is not satisfactory at all and Israel is in a fiasco." As a part of Amos Harel's article on daily Haaretz, this is the most objective narration of what occurred on Sunday afternoon after 471 days of the war in Gaza. According to Pars Today, the conditions leading the Zionist regime to the lengthy war were so back-breaking and disgraceful that Gideon Sa'ar, the regime's Foreign Minister, claimed that the ceasefire in Gaza is temporary!
Moreover, no matter if the agreement terminates the war or Israel resumes war with or without a pretext, it makes no change in the strategic equation, namely, "Israel failed to liberate its captives through war and, after 471 days of war in the Gaza Strip, it was forced to sit at the same table with Hamas after an internecine war to sign the paper of exchanging captives and be committed to it, whereas one of the main goals of the war was to annihilate this movement."
No need to reveal the loser in the war. Interestingly, Benjamin Netanyahu, as the initiator of war, announced last month his already mentioned rhetoric that, "The war in Gaza will not end without destroying Hamas." But, when he thanks Biden because of "efforts for agreement", it means that the agreement has not been achieved through bombardments and devastation unleashed by Israel.
Hamas proved in the ceasefire scene that it has the initiative; just as the military initiative has also been with Hamas since October 7, 2023. It was this power of armed resistance of Hamas and civil resistance of the Gaza inhabitants which hamstrung Israeli army's tactics.
Accordingly, Smotrich, senior member of the Israeli cabinet, said on the first day of ceasefire, "If the issue ends at this point, Israel has sustained a horrible and great defeat."
In fact, the US and Israel abided by the ceasefire agreement after the Israeli army faced an impasse in countering Hamas and Islamic Jihad. The crowded armed and motorcycle maneuver by Hamas in the early hours after the ceasefire was very expressive and very painful for the Zionist regime.
Referring to the crowd of Hamas armed forces among the big number of the joyous people, the Israeli Radio made it clear, "While in no juncture of the war, Hamas had lost the control or dominance of any part of the Gaza Strip, it is using these hours to bolster its control and rule."
After more than 15 months of war, Israel failed to dismantle the rule of Hamas on Gaza and find a substitute for it. How is it possible to see the military vehicles of Hamas in the Gaza Strip? This is really a military defeat for Israel.
