Israel is systematically targeting bakeries, farms, water wells, and food warehouses
According to Pars Today, "Benjamin Netanyahu," the prime minister of the Zionist regime, has decided to expand the scope of genocide in Gaza and deploy thousands of reserve troops on the forty-seventh day of the resumed attacks on Gaza. The final decision will be made during the security cabinet meeting on Sunday.
According to a report published IRNA, simultaneously, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) announced that it had proposed a five-year truce agreement with regional and international guarantees, which Netanyahu has opposed.
Palestinian sources also reported that the occupying army has targeted 37 humanitarian aid distribution centers in Gaza, and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has stated that the process of delivering this aid is on the verge of collapse.
Meanwhile, the Information Office in Gaza announced that Israel is deliberately targeting food resources by striking bakeries, aid centers, farms, water wells, and food warehouses as part of its policy to keep the people of Gaza starving.
This comes as the attacks by the Zionist regime on various areas of Gaza continue. In a residential bombing in central Khan Younis in southern Gaza, ten people were martyred and several others were wounded. Additionally, an Israeli drone attack on a displaced persons' tent in the "Asdaa" area in the northwest of Khan Younis city in southern Gaza left several wounded.
Palestinian sources also reported the martyrdom of four individuals and wounding of others in a residential bombing in the "Batan Al-Sameen" area south of Khan Younis city in Gaza, as well as the martyrdom of one Palestinian and wounding of others in an airstrike on a displaced persons' tent in the "Al-Mahatta" area of Khan Younis city.
This news comes as the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) issued a statement on Saturday warning that children in the Gaza Strip are facing increasing risks of hunger, disease, and death. Particularly after two months of the occupying regime’s severe siege, there is no justification for this situation.
The Executive Director of UNICEF stated in the statement that over the past two months, children in Gaza have been subjected to relentless bombings and have been deprived of essential goods, basic services, and critical medical care.
Catherine Russell said that with the continuation of the siege and the prevention of humanitarian aid from entering, the risk of hunger, disease, and death for these children increases every day, and nothing can justify this situation.
Russell also called for an immediate end to the siege on Gaza, the unrestricted entry of commercial goods and humanitarian aid, the release of prisoners, and the protection of children's lives.
