Which airlines have suspended flights to the Occupied Territories?
Pars Today – The recent missile attack by Yemen’s armed forces on Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport has escalated the flight crisis in the Occupied Territories to a new level.
Following the missile strike, a wave of flight suspensions has left thousands of Zionist passengers stranded in various countries. According to Pars Today, airlines from several nations—including Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, and India—have extended their suspension of flights to Tel Aviv due to security concerns.
A spokesperson for Germany’s Lufthansa stated that flights to Israel would remain suspended indefinitely for security reasons. Similarly, Swiss Air and Air India have made the same decision. Officials from these airlines emphasized that passenger and crew safety is their top priority, and any resumption of flights will depend on future security assessments.
Italy’s ITA Airways also announced on Saturday that all flights to the Occupied Territories would be suspended until May 19.
According to a report by the Zionist newspaper Haaretz on Sunday, the number of airlines canceling flights to the Occupied Territories due to Yemen’s missile attacks has reached 19.
Analysts believe that this trend could have significant economic and political consequences for Israel, particularly in air travel and tourism. Meanwhile, Israeli authorities claim to have heightened security measures at their airports.
The CEO of the Zionist company Signal recently commented on the flight suspensions, saying:
"We hope airlines do not extend their suspensions further, as this is causing us heavy losses and driving up prices."
He admitted that predicting when operations would fully resume is difficult, given the volatile situation.
In response, Yemen’s Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center warned the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) that Israeli enemy airports remain under threat from Yemeni armed forces and urged coordination with relevant air traffic services.
In recent months, Yemen’s army has launched attacks against Israeli military targets and enforced a naval blockade in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza.
Yemen’s armed forces have vowed to continue their blockade and strikes on the Occupied Territories until the Zionist regime halts its aggression on Gaza.
