HRW Europe–Mediterranean: Occupiers continue genocide in Gaza
Pars Today — The international organization Human Rights Watch Europe–Mediterranean stated on Monday that the Israeli occupation continues to commit acts of genocide against civilians in Gaza through various methods, creating extremely harsh living conditions for over two million Palestinians.
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, the international organization Human Rights Watch Europe–Mediterranean stated in a press release that the Israeli occupation has subjected Gaza’s civilians to catastrophic humanitarian conditions for over 25 months and does not allow them to escape these circumstances.
The statement also referred to the continued documentation of deliberate killings by the Israeli army in Gaza, noting that over the past four weeks, an average of eight Palestinians have been martyred each day.
Human Rights Watch Europe–Mediterranean also noted that the occupiers’ crimes and violations of the ceasefire in Gaza continue. These attacks are occurring in the absence of effective international monitoring of the ceasefire’s implementation. The organization stated that Israel has used this situation to redefine the on-the-ground geography in Gaza, effectively turning the ceasefire into a cover for the complete destruction of life in the Strip.
The international organization also emphasized that the Israeli occupiers continue their policy of starvation in Gaza, noting that, according to existing agreements, about 70 percent of humanitarian aid has still not been allowed to enter the Strip.
In conclusion, Human Rights Watch Europe–Mediterranean highlighted the occupiers’ efforts to break the geographic unity of Gaza and turn it into an uninhabitable area. The organization called for the deployment of international groups under UN supervision to monitor the occupiers’ actions and document violations of the ceasefire.
