Pars Today – Continuing its air aggression against Lebanon, the Israeli regime targeted several locations in the eastern part of the country with airstrikes.

On Sunday evening, the Israeli regime targeted the heights of the Janta area in Lebanon’s Beqaa Governorate in the eastern part of the country. According to Pars Today, at the same time, Israel also carried out airstrikes on the Al-Shaara area in Beqaa and the southern suburbs of Beirut.

Israel Army Radio claimed that Abu Ali Tabatabaei, Hezbollah’s second-in-command, was the target of this air aggression by the occupying regime.

Lebanon’s Ministry of Health reported that, according to preliminary figures, the Israeli airstrike on the southern suburbs of Beirut left 1 person martyred and 21 others injured.

The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth also reported, citing an Israeli source, that the airstrike was coordinated with the United States.

In this context, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lebanon issued a statement declaring: “The cowardly aggressions of the Israeli regime will never diminish the determination and will of the rightful owners, nor weaken their steadfast resolve in confronting oppression.”

The Iranian Embassy emphasized that the scope of the occupying regime’s criminal attacks has also extended to the southern suburbs of Beirut.

The statement added that this terrorist regime has no hesitation in threatening the people of Lebanon; however, these cowardly attacks will never diminish the determination of the rightful owners nor weaken their firm resolve to confront injustice.

Hezbollah also issued a statement emphasizing that the repetition of these assassinations for the fourth time in a short period clearly demonstrates the Israeli regime’s systematic policy of targeting personnel of civilian institutions. The statement added that this constitutes a blatant violation of international laws and existing agreements and calls for a decisive stance from the Lebanese government, along with direct measures to deter and prevent the continuation of such attacks.
