Nechirvan Barzani: Iran is a unique combination of religion and nationalism

Pars Today – The head of the Iraqi Kurdistan, referring to Iran’s strength and national cohesion, said there is no military solution for Iran and that everything must be done to strengthen the ceasefire, especially in Lebanon.

According to Pars Today, Nechirvan Barzani said in an exclusive interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera that Iran’s system is a unique combination of religion and nationalism. The attacks by the United States and Israel against Iran united Iranians and the system remained intact.

He added that the assassination of leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran was also ineffective because their replacements were immediately chosen. Iranians had already learned many lessons from the war last June and were well prepared to confront this new attack. They know how to stand firm, and the only path forward now is diplomacy; Iran’s system has powerful institutions.

Barzani also noted that Israel’s bombing of Lebanon is a mistake, and that Israel must immediately stop these bombings to ensure the strengthening of the ceasefire.
